Delhi-based food delivery companies such as Zomato, Swiggy and Zepto are providing additional incentives for their delivery personnel to meet an increase in demand driven by heavy rainfall in the region. Riders are being offered rain gear, rain jackets and free medical and accidental insurance. In addition, delivery associates are being given a "rain fee" incentive while riders are rewarded with prizes such as televisions and refrigerators for meeting delivery targets during the bad weather.

The government of Karnataka, India, has pledged to purchase 4,000 buses from the state's road transport corporation, and will recruit 13,000 drivers, conductors and mechanics. Even as the core sector is showing positive hiring sentiment, talent demand in the Indian IT services sector, which has some of the biggest employers, fell to its lowest level since December 2020 - down 56% from a year earlier and 4% sequentially, according to data collated by specialist staffing firm Xpheno from LinkedIn and other top company job boards.
