White-collar job openings hit a new high in March quarter

Urban unemployment rate fell to 9.8% in July-Sept’21: Government

Labour force participation rate in CWS (current weekly status) in urban areas for persons of 15 years of age and above was 46.9% in July-September 2021, similar to 46.8% in the trailing quarter. However, it fell to 19.9% in females from 20.1% in April-June but rose in males to 73.5% in July-September from 73.1% in the previous quarter.

As India Inc prepares to return to office, employees cling to WFH

At least six out of every 10 employees responded to a survey by recruitment and staffing firm CIEL HR Services said they were prepared to quit their jobs instead of returning to office or the place of work. Almost a similar number of employees would forgo an offer for a higher-paid job which requires them to compulsorily come to the office, according to the survey findings, shared exclusively with ET.
